Thank you for your prayers. My son-in-law did get the sign on bonus plus the landlord agreed to breaking the lease. Thank you, God! They just put in an offer for a house that would fit the needs of their disabled child. Please pray that if God's will to that the sellers would accept the offer and that God would work on my son-in-law's heart to make financial sacrifices for his family.

Prayer Request

Dear Promise FM family,

Today I ask for your prayers as I begin packing up my apartment. This is a difficult season in my life. I have lost my employment, I do not qualify for unemployment, and I can no longer meet the financial obligations that come with everyday life. There are many unknowns before me, and I would be grateful for your prayers.

Since March, I have poured my heart, mind, and soul into what I sincerely believe God called me to do. Through His provision, grants were awarded, our community stepped forward with incredible support, and Beaver Island Christian Church opened its doors to launch the Open Hands Café Ministry – The Breakfast Club.

What began with about 20 guests in March has grown to serving more than 100 people at a single breakfast. Every Monday and Wednesday, from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., volunteers welcome anyone who comes through our doors with a hot meal, Christian fellowship, and the love of Jesus Christ. God has faithfully provided volunteers, donations, and generous partners to sustain this ministry, and I am deeply grateful.

While I may be losing many of the things this world considers security, I have not lost my faith. I believe with all my heart that God did not bring me this far to abandon me. His ways are higher than my ways, and I trust He is still writing this story.

In the coming weeks, I will also be facing major surgeries in August and September. I hope to spend time with family during my recovery, but there are many uncertainties ahead, including how I will meet my medical and financial needs.

More than anything, I ask that you pray for the Open Hands Café Ministry. Please pray for the volunteers who faithfully serve, for the guests who rely on the meals and fellowship, and for the Beaver Island community we are blessed to love. I truly believe this ministry belongs to God. If He built it, He will sustain it. My prayer is that people will look beyond me and place their trust where it belongs—in Jesus Christ, who is the true foundation of this ministry.

Please pray that God will continue to provide, continue to guide, and continue to use this ministry to reflect His love to everyone who walks through our doors.
