My wife has multiple health issues: CRT pacemaker, diabetes, high blood pressure, PTSD, she is non-ambulatory and is confined to a wheelchair, she has a traumatic brain injury, and is legally blind. I have not worked since September 2017 because our doctor told me to quit my job and care for my wife. We live off of her's ODSP and CPP-disability when is not a lot of money

This year did not start off great. We both woke up at 6:00am on New Year's day. This never happens. Carol spent the next 12 days in the hospital, the first 9 in ICU. The doctors were not sure if she was going to make it through the first night. She was hooked up to at least 38 bags of stuff being pumped into her through numerous IV's.

She had: pneumonia, influenza, metabolic acidosis and then turned into diabetic ketoacidosis. She was so close to death that they brought in an ICU nurse in just for her to monitor all night. She is still having complications 4 months later. She is weaker now which makes travelling even to church and doctor appointments very painful and tiring for her. We are in desperate need of a wheelchair van so she does not have to transfer from her portable wheelchair to our car and back again just to get somewhere. Then do it all again to get back home. If we had a wheelchair van, she could stay in her big power chair, which is way more comfortable and easier on her body than her portable chair.

Please pray that God will provide the necessary funds for us to purchase a wheelchair van. We have to make a 9 hour trip to Toronto, Ontario, probably in December of this year, to have her CRT-pacemaker replaced. A wheelchair van would make this trip, and many other doctor appointments so much easier for all.
