Please pray for safety and protection from this attack by the enemy, and that we would understand God's will in this situation.... My husband was approached by a standing lumber (timber) buyer to purchase some trees on his property. We made up our own contract because we did not like the wording of their contract, and the buyer signed our contract with no hesitation. We just returned from family vacation and found that the original buyer hired a subcontractor that completely clear cut the entire property. They were only supposed to take about 100 trees that were marked with paint, and they took hundreds, if not thousands, of trees. My husband is devastated because he remembers planting some of those trees as saplings with his grandma, and collecting sap from the maples with his grandpa [they both died long ago], and he can never get those trees back. Please pray the offending parties that breached our contract and broke our trust would come clean as honest businessmen and satisfactorily resolve the issue. It's not about the money (the trees weren't worth much monetarily) -- it's a matter of principle. We do not want to take them to court, but they seem to be unwilling to make it right, they won't even call my husband back.
