A listener sent in this prayer request yesterday:

"My husband and I are both older, in our fifties or near to which may sound young to some. I am a two-time survivor of pneumonia and a lung infection with now diminished lung capacity. My husband works long hours and leaves for work in the dark and comes home in the dark.

I'm the only one to cut & split firewood for our stoves to heat our ever crumbling old farm house. I'm responsible to keep it clean which I do very well. I do the cooking and bring in firewood to keep us warm. We've tried to hire people to help us but they come by once and never finish the job. I do what I can.

I'm asking for prayer, just a prayer for us that someone will come to help us. I've asked God and I guess he's saying do it yourself. I'm trying but I get worn out fast. The point is, we need help."
